Family photography in Sarasota
Sarasota Family Beach Photographer
An hour on the sand, everyone looking like themselves, and your gallery within 24 hours.
Family photos shouldn't be the stressful part of your trip. I keep sessions moving, give the kids something to do besides "smile," and let the light and the Gulf do the heavy lifting. You get a gallery of photos that look like your family on a good day: laughing, wind-blown and actually together.
How a family session goes
We meet at a beach access about ten minutes before your start time. I start with everyone together while the little ones still have patience, then work through each household, the couples, the kids on their own, and the grandparents with every grandkid. Between setups there's room for running into the water, piggyback rides and the candid moments that end up being everyone's favorites.
Big families and reunions
Groups of ten, fifteen or twenty are where an hour pays off. The price grows by a flat amount per person, and so does the number of edited photos, so every household goes home with frames of its own. Up to 20 people can book online. For bigger reunions, text me and we'll plan it.
Where we can shoot
Siesta Key and Lido Key are my most-requested beaches, and both are included in the price. I also shoot on Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach and in Venice, as well as at rental homes and pools. Each location's travel fee is listed on the sessions page.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do family photos cost in Sarasota?
With me, a one-hour family beach session is $350 for up to five people, or $450 for a Friday–Sunday sunset. Each additional person is $60, and the calculator shows your exact total.
What should we wear?
Soft, coordinating colors (not matching) in light, flowy fabrics. Whites, creams, sage, dusty blue and blush look great against the sand. Skip big logos and neon. See my what-to-wear guide.
What if the kids don't cooperate?
They usually don't for the first five minutes, and that's fine. I keep things moving with games and short bursts of shooting. Some of the best photos happen when nobody is posing.
What happens if it rains?
I watch the forecast and make the call at least 2 hours before your session. If rain, drizzle or lightning is expected, I'll text you, and we'll reschedule to any open time for free, with your deposit carried over. Cloudy skies on their own aren't a reason to reschedule, since overcast light is soft and flattering.
Can we bring the dog?
Usually, yes. Some beaches limit dogs, so tell me when you book and I'll suggest a spot that allows them.
Do you charge for travel?
Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Siesta Key, Lido Key and mainland Bradenton are included. Longboat Key and Casey Key add $30, Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach and Venice add $50, and the full list is on the sessions page.
How soon do we get the photos?
Within 24 hours, in an online gallery you can download, share and print from.
